Social Media Intern

Stellaractive focuses on custom web development, digital content strategy, and ecommerce websites. Specializing in content management systems, ecommerce, and custom web applications since 2007, Stellaractive has launched hundreds of small and medium size business websites.

We are currently accepting applications for Social Media and Digital Advertising Interns.

  • This is a paid Internship at $350 per month
  • Hourly expectation 5 – 10 hours per week
  • Student is expected to be onsite at least 2 days per week.  We will work with your course schedule
  • This is a 6 month internship with a minimum of 3 month commitment

Social Media Intern will be responsible solely for:

  • Management of all social media platforms
  • Creating Social Media campaigns that align with the team and marketing activities
  • Oversee day-to-day social media initiatives; including writing and posting diverse content and developing strategies to optimize user engagement and drive traffic to the website across
  • Scheduling of email blasts, social media posts


  • Strong knowledge of social media practices and Strong Content writing skills
  • Current knowledge of best practices across all major social media platforms
  • Knowledge of email blast practices (preferably mail chimp)
  • Familiarity with modern web code preferred
  • Creative and keen eye for photography and design

Business Development Intern

We are currently accepting applications for Business Development interns

  • This is a paid Internship at $350 per month
  • Hourly expectation 10 hours per week minimum
  • Student is expected to be onsite at least 2 days per week.  We will work with your course schedule
  • This is a 6 month internship with a minimum of 3 month commitment

The successful candidate for this position will be a student or recent graduate in a related field of study that wants to gain a great deal of experience that can be put into practice once he/she gets a job in marketing, small business management, sales, and/or business development.

We are looking for people interested in learning how a marketing firm or a small organization works. This internship will cover the areas of sales, marketing, and business development, but interns will also have the option to work on graphic design and web design. The goal of all interns will be to improve the organization’s market position and to achieve financial growth.

All interns will be supervised directly by the executive director who has over 5 years of experience managing internship and volunteer programs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead generation, data entry, and data management (using Salesforce).
    Contact current and potential clients (email, mail, or phone).
  • Assistance in the creation of RFPs and presentations.
    Conduct research of prospective clients, competitors, industries, and markets.
  • Monitor best practices, trends, new technologies, and evaluate them for possible adoption.
  • Work with the rest of the team to coordinate public relations and publicity opportunities, including article placement. May develop relationships with other professional service providers for prospective referrals and/or event co-sponsorship opportunities.
  • Manage existing relationships on an ongoing basis including communicating regularly with existing clients and address any issues that may arise.
  • Work with external vendors on occasion.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.


  • Be able to work at least 10 hours a week (from home or at the office)
  • Fearless cold-caller. Ability to execute against a lead list on email and phone.
  • Strong research skills – must be able to mine the web for useful information.
  • Strong attention to detail, a mind for innovation, and extremely detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Positive attitude, excellent problem solving, excellent communication and grammar skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to close business to business sales for solutions, services, or products (preferred but not required).
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM system (preferred but not required).
